Great job… I have a little trouble running this from Flash but as very easy to solve…

Since your mxml
In Flex you use: this.rawChildren.addChild(canvas);
In Flash only need: addChild(canvas).

I cannot understand how this works, just gives me a bunch of errors, do you have an as3 only hello world example of displaying an svg in a swf?

Please make an effort to keep these files updated [http://labs.zavoo.com/content/flex/DrawSvg/srcview/index.html]. This is a very nice approach for pure AS3 developers. The svgweb project is garbage.
